A lot of people think mental toughness is about forcing yourself to “be tough”, have no fears, and push through challenges no matter what. But that’s not the full picture!
Mental toughness is about how you respond to fears and challenges, not just how hard you push.
It’s about:
Staying focused and determined under pressure
Managing emotions so they don’t take over
Bouncing back quickly after mistakes
The best part? Mental toughness isn’t something you’re born with... i’s something you train!
Here’s how to start building it:
1) Change the way you talk to yourself. Instead of “I can’t do this,” try “This is a challenge, but I can handle it.”
2) Use breathing and focus techniques. Train your brain just like you train your body!
3) Let go of unhelpful thoughts. Not every thought deserves your attention!
If you want to play with more confidence and control, mental toughness is the key.
